Due to the special features of the ground and the landscapes that offers this area of Es Raiguer, there are plenty of easy excursions, as the itinerary between Binissalem and Alaró (with its castle), all along the roman path, or the one towards Tossals Verds and the little dorp of Solleric, just to mention a couple of them!
In a higher level, we recommend you the Puig De Bellveure and the Puig des Bous.
Mallorca has a huge paths network; some of them are from the roman and the arab period…and it’s very interesting the big number of ancient buildings that we might find along the way as the “snow houses”, the coal bunkers, old Majorcan houses called “possessions”, stone ovens, old smugglers paths, etc…
We should highlight the GR-221, known as well as Ruta de la Pedra en sec, and old path that goes along the Serra de Tramuntana and it reveals the beauty of nature and the history of Mallorca.
This is a privileged land in the centre of the island, where already in year 121 b.C, the romans brought the tradition and culture of the wine in.
Recognised since 1990, the DO Binissalem is located nowadays in fourteen wine cellars and five villages: Santa María del Camí, Consell, Binissalem, Santa Eugenia and Sencelles.
Let yourself go with the fragrances of the earth, unique and magical in every season of the year and discover the villages and their surroundings, that represent the Wine Route.
This route is perfect to do it by your own by car or by bike, or if you prefer with the Wine Express, a little train that takes you to different vineyards and wine cellars where wine tastings are done. Thousand of cycling lovers come every year to Mallorca to enjoy its rural paths and roads. One of the most popular road is “el Camino de Muro”, which links Sta. María with Muro (30 Km aprox) and is just few meters from our house.
There are endless routes for all levels all around the island.
The best seasons to practice this sport are spring and autumn. Don’t worry if you didn’t bring your equipment! The nice temperatures of the island and its 23 golf courses all around the territory, makes Mallorca as one of the main European destinations of this sport. Very close from the hotel, you’ll find Golf Park Mallorca-Puntiró and Golf Son Gual. The excellent weather conditions of Mallorca allow to play golf all the year round; however, we recommend you to avoid the summer months of July and August.
